Unknown:

Bets, it's time to combine a guilty little pleasure with a new healthy habit. Kick up your feet and listen in. This is wisdom and chocolate.

Bets Danko:

My name is Bets Danko, and you are listening to wisdom and chocolate. It's time to drop the mask. It's time to understand who you are and stand in the power of knowing your own thoughts. It's time to make sure that you're walking into your future fully armed with an understanding of what matters to you, what's on your mind. Who are you? These things take thought. They take really sitting with yourself and spending the time understanding who you are. And this is something that a lot of people just don't even do. You get up in the morning, you take care of what you need to take care of before you head off to work. You do your job. When you're at work, you react to what's going on around you. You listen to other people's stories. How many people actually sit and listen to what's going on in their own minds? How many people actually take the time to understand what matters to them so that they can motivate themselves or themselves and have a more fulfilling life. How many people actually do that? Well, while I don't know a percentage of the overall population, I can tell you that probably 95% of the people I know, people who are around me, those people don't self assess. They don't take down the mask. They don't allow themselves to experience who they actually are. So it's important that we take the time, that we make a shift, that we allow ourselves to have 1015, minutes in a day to bask in the thoughts that we're having, allow ourselves to get to know who we are. That's another thing that I notice, is there are so many people who think that who they are is the label that they've given themselves, and many of those people are walking around with labels that somebody else gave them, so they took that as truth, and they've just sort of filled the role, but actually who they are is very different. Their thoughts, decide that their understanding of the world around them, their morality, the way that they show compassion, all of these things, to create an understanding of who they are. It's not the label. It's not I'm an accountant, I'm a mother, I'm a barista. It's not that. That's not who you are, that's what you are. That's very different. So who are you on the inside? Take down the mask, even that. That mask is not just up for other people. We wear the mask around ourselves when we don't want to face who we actually are. So take down the mask, and then own the thoughts that you have, own the emotions that you have, allow yourself to step into something a whole heck of a lot more strong now, really, allowing yourself to focus on your thoughts and know who you are takes courage, and I acknowledge that sometimes it's easier to just live with The labels somebody else has given you, because there are guardrails. You know who you are based on what they've told you, and you know what it takes to be that person. So you sort of stay inside the guardrails, and you don't ever venture out into something else. It takes courage to venture out. It takes courage to admit, you know what, I want to be the world's best chef and show. So I need to, like, get rid of all this extra baggage, all these other thoughts and what people told me I am, and start doing the work to become that chef. It takes courage to do that. But here's the thing, you've had courage all of your life. You woke up with courage when you were born. You You had the courage to scream. You had the courage to ask for food. You had the courage to take your first steps. You had the courage to go to kindergarten. You had the courage to be a 12 year old where we're all so confused about life and the hormones are kicking in and we don't know what's going on in our bodies or in the world. You had the courage to go through that. You had the courage every age of your life to have relationships, to experience new things, to make mistakes and to recover from those mistakes. You had the courage your entire life as a representation of courage. So use the courage to allow yourself to think like an individual. Allow yourself the 1015, minutes a day to sit in your own thoughts and reframe your life. If you want something different, think something different. If you want to feel excited about life, choose to feel excited about life. Don't listen to the people. Around you, be an individual, be somebody who allows yourself the space to experience your courage all over again. So the chocolate that I want to talk about today is Choco. Love Hawaiian sea salt. This is a non GMO bar, dairy, gluten, nut and egg free. There are 440 calories per bar, so take little squares at a time, right? And there's poetry on the inside of the cover. Who knew what a beautiful thing poetry on the inside of the cover. What is that poetry like inside your life? Is there poetry in you. I mean, we we talk about wisdom and chocolate, they're sort of married, right? It's two two things, coexisting in the world and making life beautiful, right? So if that's the case, then there's something about that chocolate, aside from the yummy, from the yumminess, that might be part of you too. Perhaps it's the poetry inside of you. What kind of poetry are you speaking? Is it beautiful, or is it pulling you back and pulling you down? What is that poetry and how can you rewrite it so that it's something uplifting and powerful? Spend time inside that lovely mind of yours. Please allow yourself that time and really look at the beautiful words. Are they forming poetry? Are they sort of just coming in every once a while, like fleeting moments? Are you writing the poetry continually, or does it require you to focus on that. So let me expand on the poetry thing for a second, because I don't mean like, Roses are red, violets are blue, sort of thing, like actual words. What I'm talking about is the beauty of the understanding of who you are and where you're going. That is poetry, and it only happens when you are allowing yourself to think beautiful things. Now, poetry isn't always beautiful. Sometimes it's pretty harsh and it's crazy, and maybe that's the poetry that's going on inside your brain, but it's time to use different words. It's time to rephrase and reframe, spend time in that mind of yours so that you could hear the poetry that's going on and change it into something that is more uplifting, something that allows you to face the world with courage, allow yourself the poetry of life, so that you can move forward understanding who you are now. Clarity is within you. This is something that you it's sort of like a muscle that you have to work with. Sometimes we have ideas of what we want, and we sort of travel into our minds. We realize that's not what's going on in our minds, and then we have no idea how to move forward. Well, what's required is clarity. You must have clarity in your life in order to succeed at things. Yes, you could be the sort of person that everything is just it just appears in front of you, and you didn't need clarity. Somebody just deposited a beautiful thing in front of you. Some people have lives like that, and that's wonderful. And maybe we all have had that at some moment in our lives, right? But most of the time, what happens is there's something going on and we don't understand what's going on. So we have to look for the clarity. We have to create the clarity, and we have to exercise the muscles that help us to do that. And how do you do that? Here we go again, back into your mind. Think about it. Think about the thing that you need clarity on. Why do you want it? Why do you need it? Why are you even considering going for it? Know those things first and then. Who do you need as a mentor? Who do you need in your court to help you get to where you want to go. Is there anyone else who has accomplished this in your life? Can you sit down have a conversation so you sort of build your community so that you get this clarity, and then you start writing out all the key components to getting to where you want to be. This helps you find clarity. And once you write all of those things out, assess, kind of sit back and go, Okay, this is more work than I thought. Does it really mean this much to me? Or I am so much more excited now? Yeah, this is a huge amount of work, but now I know how to get where I want to go. If you are one of the people who are doing the first thing, sort of second guessing and deciding maybe this isn't what I want to do. That's okay, sometimes that happens, but it's important that you literally label that moment with an understanding that this didn't mean enough to you to go for it. It's important that you label it that way so then it's not just this thing that well, I always wanted that, but I. Never went for it. No, I made a choice. I made a choice, and I'm owning it. I lowered the mask, I stopped listening to the world around me, and I started thinking for myself, and in that moment, I didn't want to do it. And if you're having second thoughts or you're regretting that choice, then declare in that moment. But now I'm ready. In other words, don't sit there and like regret all the things that happened before you had the courage to stand up and say, No, this isn't for me right now. Instead, celebrate the opportunity to make a different choice and move forward once again. But own the choice, drop the mask, have the courage in your thought to be an individual, allow yourself to write the poetry of your life in a more appealing and beautiful way by spending the time in your mind and figuring out where you actually stand on everything who you are As an individual is important. You are not like anybody else in your circle. You're not like anybody else in the world. Every single life experience you have has made you different from everyone else, and every one of those things allowed you the opportunity to express courage in order to move forward. That was a learning experience for you. So embrace that, feel compassion for yourself, give yourself grace, because clarity lies within, and the only way to get that clarity is to allow the grace, allow yourself to connect with your thoughts and who you are on the inside, and then walk forward as an individual, everyone has something beautiful to bring to the world. And with that in mind, I designed energy daily.
